I’m truly honored to have been awarded three awards from the Northern Light Gallery’s March Artist of the Month Art Competition. The competition was divided into several categories including painted media and drawn media. Best of Division is considered 1st Place and Judge’s Choice is considered 2nd Place.
Painted Media Results:
Overcomer won the Judge’s Choice award in the painted media category. Overcomer was painted in watercolor on 8×10″ watercolor paper. Reference photo by Dennis Jacobsen. Drawn Media Results:
Woodpecker on Perch won the Judge’s Choice award in the drawn media category. Woodpecker on Perch was made with pastels on 8″x10″ dark grey Pastelmat. Reference photo by Gill Merritt. This is the third award that this artwork has earned. Though I get attached to most of my artwork, at this time I refuse to sell this artwork. Hummingbird Moth won the Special Merit award in the drawn media category. Hummingbird Month was made with pastels on 10″x8″ dark grey Pastelmat. Reference photo by Don Barrick. This is the second award that this artwork has earned.
