How to frame your art prints:
Thank you for purchasing one of my Giclee art prints! Art prints that are shipped may not include a mat or bag. See “Art print without mat” below for how to frame. Art prints purchased locally will be in a plastic bag and will sometimes include a mat.
Art prints with mats

If you purchased from me locally, then you most likely purchased something like this (shown above) that includes the mat. The art print will be taped to the back of the mat. The mat and art print is placed with a backing board into a plastic bag. On the back will include a sticker letting you know the size of the art print (not the mat size), the art print name and series number. All you need to do is purchase a frame the size of the mat (you will have to measure the mat). For example, I frame my 8″x10″ prints with a 11″x14″ mat. You would just purchase a 11″x14″ frame. Take the artwork set out of the bag. The art print will be tapped to the mat already. Discard or recycle the backing board and plastic bag. Then just put the mat that has the art print attached into the frame. You can untape the art print if you want to use a different mat. If the frame you purchase already has a mat, you can just use it for another framing project.
Pro tip #1: The glare on a normal frame can be pretty bad. I would suggest that you change out the glass to a non-glare glass. Any framing shop, Hobby Lobby or Michael’s Craft Store will sell you just the glass. They have several options to choose from. The glass will make all the difference!
Pro tip #2: If you don’t like the white mat, you can change out the mat to a different color and even a double mat. Also, you can get your art print custom framed where you have the option to choose the frame, mat, glass etc.

Larger art prints or art prints that are mailed, most likely will not include a mat. If you purchased from me locally, then you most likely purchased something like this (shown above). The art print is placed with a backing board into a plastic bag. On the back will include a sticker letting you know the size of the art print, the art print name and series number. You can purchase a frame that has the mat included. If not, you can purchase a mat in the size you need or get a mat custom cut. Any frame shop or your local Michael’s Craft store or Hobby Lobby will cut the mat for you to the exact size you need. You will frame your art print just like you would a photograph. I would suggest you frame it with a mat. Tape the art print to the back of the mat and then insert it into the frame. My art prints usually come with a 1/2″ border (as shown in the photo above). If you want to frame the art print without a mat, you will need to cut off the extra border.
