Welcome to my site! I’m a professional artist and graphic designer. I have a BFA in Graphic Design. While working as a graphic designer, I never actually worked on my fine art skills, such as drawing, painting, etc. In 2019, I decided that needed to change. I tried my hand at watercolor painting for the first time. Watercolor paint is one of the hardest mediums to use. I enjoy watercolor, but wanted to try some other mediums as well. In January of 2022, I bought by first set of pastel pencils and started drawing. WOW! Pastel pencils are amazing. I quickly purchase some pastel sticks to compliment my pastel pencils. Sticks are great to use, especially when drawing the backgrounds. I found I have a real talent in creating pet and wildlife drawings in pastels. I started taking commissions to draw pet portraits. I love challenging myself to try different animals and different techniques. I recently (like 2 weeks ago) decided to branch out into acrylic painting. Before then, I had only used acrylics a few time at those paint and sip type, mom’s night out events. So far, I love it! I can’t wait to see what I create in the future using these mediums and branching out to even more.
